Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby has revealed he would love to join Premier League outfit Arsenal.
The German international has recently broken into the Schalke side after spending two season out on loan, and made 27 appearances, scoring 6 goals, last season.
The 22-year-old has long been linked with a move to England due to his father being English and has revealed his favourite two sides are Arsenal and Everton.
However, it’s the Gunners who have really caught the midfielders eye due to their attractive, attacking football:
“I have always said that my aim is to come to the Premier League one day because I love the league. My father is English and of course my favourite teams are Everton and Arsenal.
“It would be a massive move [to Arsenal] because Arsenal players were always my favourite. They play nice one-touch football, they’re offensive, have young players, a great stadium and a great city so it is a nice club.
“My thoughts now are first with Schalke but you never know.”
